The Blue Buffalo
This build has been an ongoing process of testing theories and pushing limits. It started as a forged rod and piston 6.2 with a ported LSA blower ran on a factory ECU. Then after a broken U-Joint that ultimately cranked the bell housing and the back of the block we had to regroup and devise plan B. Which as we know had to be bigger and better than plan A. This was comprised of a Dart block 388 with a Smallwood Race Development camshaft and valvetrain, Modern Airflow Dynamics Brodix BR3 heads, BSR shaft rocker set up, a CID intake and some BTR valve covers. The engine was paired with a Novi 2200R blower, a Shearer Fab intercooler and an A&A Corvette bracket set up. Needless to say this was ready to rip. Transmission was built locally by Randy Lindler with a Jakes manual valve body and a PTC non lock up converter blue printed by Martin Smalwood. We debuted the Blue Buffalo at LS Fest East and with a few tuning revisions by Matt Elliott out of Alvarado, TX we had it running strong with the upgraded Holley Dominator ECU and custom harness. This truck was fun at the track but built to cruise. Full interior and AC is the only way to build a truck when you live south of Atlanta. It remains on the leaf springs with some fancy work from Atomic Fab and tubular control arms with coil overs in the front. This truck tipped the scales at 4650 LBs with me in it and had no issues cruising on a date night with the wife or throwing down at the track. We have since ripped the engine out of the truck and we are building the next phase of the Blue Buffalo. Stay tuned folks.
